Salary: £43,206 per annum (pro rata)

About the role
Youth First is looking to recruit a highly dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to lead on the management and co-ordination of youth provision, ensuring young peoples’ access to positive activities through the management of resources, playgrounds, buildings, partnerships and commissioning of the private and voluntary sector. With strong project management skills, the successful applicant will be instrumental in developing new and exciting projects, including increased provision of mental health development; employability development and our NCIL – Street based programme.
The post sits within Youth First’s Senior Management Team (SMT) and will manage and supervise staff based at various sites within the borough of Lewisham.
This is a very varied and exciting post and allows the postholder to have a direct positive impact on young people and the community. It would suit anyone with a passion for ensuring excellence in youth work, value for money services and provision of a better future for children and young people.
Applicants will be required to have NVQ4 level qualification or similar in Management (or equivalent), and/or significant demonstrable experience of line management responsibilities in an operational capacity in youth provision.
Youth First was born from the passion of youth and play workers to create a means to sustain and ideally grow youth work for young people aged 8-19 (up to 25 with SEND), first in Lewisham and now beyond.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate:-
- Relevant experience of manager operations within an organisation of similar goals
- An understanding and experience of project management
- Relevant experience in managing mental health provision for young people
- Relevant experience in managing the delivery of employability programmes
