Climate Home Festival: Reach for Speech

For aspiring creative writers, spoken word artists and poets to work with professional poet Gboyega Odubanjo to explore new forms and styles of poetic writing.

You will write new pieces and perform them at the Climate Home Festival on Saturday 6 August. For ages 13 - 21 years old. 

About Gboyega Odubanjo:

Gboyega Odubanjo is a British-Nigerian poet born and raised in East London. In 2018 he completed an MA in Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia. His debut pamphlet, While I Yet Live, was published by Bad Betty Press in 2019. Gboyega is a member of the Roundhouse Poetry Collective and a Barbican Young Poet alumni.

Presented by Sounds Like Chaos and the Albany as part of We Are Lewisham 2022 and in partnership with Youth First. Come and join our adventure play sessions for 8 to 14 year olds or learn new skills in fashion, spoken word and creative writing, dance and construction for people aged 13 – 21 years.
