Volunteer Opportunities

We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities to suit your interests, skills, and availability. Here are some ways you can get involved:

• Youth & Play Worker: Assist with leading fun activities in all our Youth Clubs and Adventure Playgrounds, build relationships with Youth, Parents, other Volunteers and Staff, ensure safety, assist with our walking bus service, represent the organisation positively, and foster personal development.
• Mentoring: Become a Volunteer Mentor and make a lasting difference in the life of a young person. Share your knowledge, skills, and experiences to help them grow and thrive.
• Workshops and Programs: Lead workshops, facilitate group discussions, or assist with our youth programs. Whether you have expertise in art, sports, STEM, or any other field, there's a place for you here.
• Events and Fundraising: Help us organize and execute events, fundraisers, and community outreach initiatives. From planning to promotion to day-of support, your assistance is invaluable.
• Your Invaluable Skills and Ideas: We encourage volunteers with ideas for new opportunities or initiatives to reach out and share their valuable suggestions with us. Your input is vital in shaping the future of our programs and ensuring we continue to meet the needs of our community effectively.

How to Get Started

Ready to take the first step toward becoming a Youth First Volunteer? Here's how:

• Explore Opportunities: Browse our current volunteer opportunities and find the role that’s right for you. (If there is no immediate match, proceed with step 2 anyway).
• Register Your Interest Online: Fill out our Volunteer Registration of Interest Form to let us know more about yourself and your interests
• Informal Meeting: Once your registration is received, we will be in touch shortly to arrange a suitable day and time to meet up for a chat to get to know each other better and come to an agreement on a suitable position based on availability and fill out application form.
• Training and Orientation: Once your application is reviewed and approved, we'll provide training and orientation to prepare you for your role.
• Start Making an Impact: Get involved, make connections, and start making a difference in the lives of young people in our community.
